What this guide covers

This guide explains how to connect a payment processor to JobsiteOn so your customers can pay invoices online. You will learn how to set up the connection, test it, and manage transactions.

Before you begin

  • You need Owner permissions.
  • You need an active Stripe account (or supported processor account).
  • Payment processing settings are also covered in Set Up Payment Processing.

Step 1: Connect your processor

  1. Go to /settings > Integrations.
  2. Find Stripe (or your processor) in the integrations list.
  3. Click Connect.
  4. Authorize the connection in the processor's window.

Step 2: Configure payment methods

After connecting, choose which payment methods to accept:

  • Credit/Debit Cards -- Visa, Mastercard, Amex.
  • ACH Bank Transfer -- lower fees, longer processing.
  • Apple Pay / Google Pay -- available for mobile users.

Step 3: Enable the Pay Now button

Toggle Online Payments to on. This adds a "Pay Now" button to every invoice email, linking to a secure payment page.

How payments flow

  1. Customer clicks "Pay Now" on an invoice email.
  2. They enter payment details on a secure, hosted page.
  3. The processor charges the payment.
  4. JobsiteOn automatically records the payment against the invoice.
  5. Both you and the customer receive a confirmation email.

Processing refunds

  1. Open the invoice in JobsiteOn.
  2. Click the payment record.
  3. Click Refund.
  4. Enter the refund amount (full or partial).
  5. The refund processes through your payment processor.

Tip: Always process refunds through JobsiteOn rather than directly in the processor dashboard. This keeps both systems in sync.

Transaction fees

Fees are charged by the processor, not JobsiteOn. Typical rates:

  • Cards: 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction.
  • ACH: 0.8%, capped at $5.00.

Note: Payouts from the processor to your bank follow the processor's schedule (typically 2 business days for Stripe).
