What this guide covers

This guide shows you how to connect your Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar to JobsiteOn. Once connected, your scheduled jobs appear as calendar events, giving you a unified view of your work and personal schedule.

Before you begin

  • Any authenticated user can connect their own calendar.
  • You need an active Google or Outlook account.
  • Calendar sync is per-user, not workspace-wide.

Step 1: Open calendar settings

  1. Go to /settings.
  2. Under the Account group, click Calendar Sync.
  3. Choose your calendar provider: Google Calendar or Outlook.

Step 2: Authorize the connection

  1. Click Connect on your chosen provider.
  2. Sign in to your calendar account in the new window.
  3. Grant JobsiteOn permission to read and write events.
  4. The window closes and the status updates to Connected.

Step 3: Choose sync options

After connecting, configure:

  • Which calendar -- select the specific calendar to sync with.
  • Sync direction -- one-way (JobsiteOn to calendar) or two-way.
  • Event details -- choose what appears in the event title and description (job name, customer name, address).

Step 4: Verify the sync

Open your calendar app and check that upcoming JobsiteOn jobs appear as events. Each event shows the job name and scheduled time.

How calendar events look

  • Title -- the job name and customer name.
  • Time -- the scheduled start and end time.
  • Location -- the property address.
  • Description -- job details and a link back to the job in JobsiteOn.

Tip: Use two-way sync with caution. Editing a calendar event directly does not update the job in JobsiteOn unless two-way sync is enabled and the change is supported.

Disconnecting calendar sync

  1. Go to /settings > Account > Calendar Sync.
  2. Click Disconnect.
  3. Synced events remain in your calendar but will no longer update.

Note: Calendar sync does not affect other team members. Each person connects their own calendar independently.
