Delete a Request
How to close or delete a request, understand the difference, and when each action is appropriate.
What this guide covers
This guide explains how to handle requests you no longer need. In most cases, closing is preferred over deletion.
Close vs. delete
- Close -- marks the request as resolved. It remains in the system under the Closed filter for historical reference.
- Delete -- permanently removes the request. Only available for requests that have not been converted to a job or quote.
Closing a request
- Open the request detail page.
- Click the Status dropdown and select Closed.
- Optionally add a note explaining why.
Closed requests are accessible from the Closed tab on the request list.
Deleting a request
- Open the request detail page.
- Click the overflow menu (...).
- Select Delete Request.
- Confirm the deletion.

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
When to delete
Delete only when:
- The request was created by mistake (test submission, typo).
- The request is spam with no useful data.
Tip: Prefer closing over deleting. Closed requests preserve the audit trail and can be reopened if needed. Deleted requests are gone permanently.
Note: Converted requests cannot be deleted because they have linked job or quote records.
