Configure Schedule Notifications
Set up alerts for new event assignments, schedule changes, and upcoming appointments so your team never misses a job.
What this guide covers
This guide explains how to configure schedule-related notifications in JobsiteOn. You will learn which schedule events can trigger notifications, how to choose your preferred delivery channels, and how to set up reminders for upcoming events.
By the end you will know how to:
- Access schedule notification settings
- Choose which schedule events trigger alerts
- Configure delivery channels for each event type
- Set up event reminders
Before you begin
- You need an active JobsiteOn account with access to the Schedule module
- Notification preferences are per-user, so each team member configures their own
Step 1 -- Open notification settings
Click your profile avatar in the top-right corner and select Notification Preferences. Navigate to the Schedule category.

Step 2 -- Choose which events trigger notifications
Under the Schedule category, toggle notifications on or off for:
- New assignment -- You are assigned to a new event
- Event rescheduled -- An event assigned to you is moved to a new date or time
- Event cancelled -- An event assigned to you is cancelled
- Event updated -- Details of an assigned event are changed (notes, location, etc.)
- Daily schedule summary -- A morning digest of your day's events
Tip: At minimum, keep New assignment and Event rescheduled enabled so you always know when your schedule changes.
Step 3 -- Select delivery channels
For each event type, choose how you want to be notified:
- In-app -- A notification appears in your JobsiteOn notification center
- Email -- A notification email is sent to your email address on file
- Browser push -- A desktop notification appears (requires browser permission)
Step 4 -- Set up event reminders
Event reminders notify you before an upcoming event starts. Configure the reminder lead time:
- 15 minutes before -- For events that are close together
- 1 hour before -- Enough time to prepare and travel
- 1 day before -- For next-day planning
You can enable multiple reminder intervals. For example, get a reminder 1 day before and again 1 hour before.

Step 5 -- Save your preferences
Click Save to apply your notification settings. Changes take effect immediately.
Troubleshooting
I am not receiving schedule notifications
Verify that at least one delivery channel is enabled for the schedule events you care about. Check your browser notification permissions and email spam folder.
I am getting too many notifications
Disable the Event updated notification if minor changes are creating noise. Keep only the critical events (new assignments and rescheduled events) active.
Note: The daily schedule summary is sent once per day in the morning. It includes all events for the current day with times, locations, and customer information.
