View the Contact Detail Page
Navigate the contact detail page to see all information, linked records, communication history, and activity for a single customer.
What this guide covers
This guide walks you through the contact detail page in JobsiteOn. You will learn how to navigate the page layout, understand each section, and use the detail page as your central hub for everything related to a single customer.
Accessing the contact detail page
- Navigate to
/contactsfrom the left sidebar. - Click any contact row in the list.
- You land on the contact detail page at
/contacts/[slug].
Page layout overview
The contact detail page is organized into several sections:
Header
The header displays:
- Contact name — First and last name.
- Company name — If the contact is associated with a business.
- Primary email and phone number — Quick-access contact methods.
- Action buttons — Edit Contact, Send Email, and the overflow menu (...).

Contact information panel
Below the header, you see the full contact details:
- All email addresses.
- All phone numbers.
- Billing address.
- Company name and title.
- Any custom notes added by your team.
Tabs
The detail page uses tabs to organize linked records:

| Quotes | All quotes sent to this contact |
| Invoices | All invoices billed to this contact |
| Properties | Properties linked to this contact |

The Overview tab
The Overview tab provides a snapshot of the contact's relationship with your business:
- Total revenue — Sum of all paid invoices for this contact.
- Open balance — Sum of unpaid invoice amounts.
- Total jobs — Count of all linked jobs.
- Recent activity — The last few events from the activity feed.
Navigating linked records
Each tab (Jobs, Quotes, Invoices, Properties) shows a list of related records:
- Click any record to navigate to its detail page.
- Use the search bar within each tab to narrow results.
- Each tab shows a count badge indicating the number of records.
Tip: Use the contact detail page as your starting point when a customer calls. Everything you need to know about them is in one place.
Quick actions from the detail page
- Edit Contact — Update name, email, phone, address, or notes.
- Send Email — Compose and send an email to the contact.
- Create Job — Start a new job linked to this contact.
- Create Quote — Start a new quote for this contact.
- Create Invoice — Start a new invoice billed to this contact.
These actions are available from the action buttons or the overflow menu.

Viewing the activity feed
The Activity tab shows a chronological log of every interaction:
- Emails sent and received.
- Jobs created and status changes.
- Quotes sent, viewed, accepted, or declined.
- Invoices sent, viewed, and paid.
- Notes added by your team.
- Contact information changes.
Note: The activity feed is read-only. It provides a complete audit trail of your relationship with this customer.
Best practices
- Check the contact detail page before every customer interaction for full context.
- Use the Overview tab for a quick health check on the customer relationship.
- Navigate to linked records directly from the tabs rather than searching separately.
- Keep contact information updated to ensure accurate communications.
