What this guide covers

This guide explains how to configure the template that controls the appearance of your invoice documents in JobsiteOn. You will learn how to set up branding, customize labels, configure company details, and adjust layout options.

Where to configure the template

Invoice appearance is controlled by two settings pages:

Changes apply to all future invoices. Existing sent invoices retain their original appearance.

Setting up your branding

  1. Navigate to /settings/branding.
  2. Upload your company logo (PNG or JPG, at least 400px wide).
  3. The logo appears in the top-left corner of every invoice.

Brand color

  1. Select your brand color using the color picker or enter a hex code.
  2. The color is used for document accents, section headers, and divider lines.

Document palette

Fine-tune the document appearance:

Setting Controls
Text color Primary body text
Muted color Secondary labels and footnotes
Line color Table borders and dividers
Paper color Document background

Customizing document labels

  1. Scroll to the Document Labels section on the branding page.
  2. Customize the following labels:
    • Document title — Default is "Invoice." Change to "Tax Invoice," "Bill," or your preferred term.
    • Number label — Default is "Invoice #."
    • Date label — Default is "Date."
    • Due date label — Default is "Due Date."
  3. Click Save.

Tip: If you operate in a region with specific invoice labeling requirements, customize the labels to match your local regulations.

Configuring company details

  1. Navigate to /settings/workspace-company.
  2. Fill in your company information:
    • Company name
    • Street address
    • City, state, and ZIP
    • Phone number
    • Email address
    • Tax ID or registration number
  3. Click Save.

These details appear in the invoice header and footer, providing your customer with complete contact information.

Toggle these options on or off in the branding settings:

Previewing your template

After saving your settings:

  1. Open any existing invoice at /invoices/[slug].
  2. The embedded PDF preview reflects your updated template.
  3. Check the logo, colors, labels, and company details.
  4. If anything looks off, return to the settings pages and adjust.

Default payment terms

Set default payment terms that apply to every new invoice:

  1. Navigate to /settings/invoices (if available) or set them during invoice creation.
  2. Choose a default due date offset (Net 15, Net 30, etc.).
  3. New invoices will default to these terms, which you can override on individual invoices.
