What this guide covers

This guide explains how to customize the appearance of your quotes in JobsiteOn. You will learn how to configure your branding settings, adjust document colors, set custom labels, and preview your changes so every proposal you send reflects your company identity.

Where branding settings live

All document branding is configured in one place:

  1. Navigate to /settings/branding from the left sidebar.
  2. The branding page controls how your quotes, invoices, and other customer-facing documents look.

Changes here apply to all future documents. Existing documents that have already been sent are not retroactively updated.

  1. In the Logo section, click Upload Logo.
  2. Select a PNG or JPG file. For best results, use an image at least 400 pixels wide with a transparent background.
  3. The logo appears in the top-left corner of your proposal PDF.
  4. Click Save to confirm.

Setting your brand color

  1. In the Brand Color section, click the color picker or enter a hex code.
  2. The brand color is used for document accents such as section dividers, headers, and the status bar.
  3. Choose a color that matches your company branding for a cohesive look.

Tip: Stick to a single brand color that has strong contrast against white. This ensures your documents are both attractive and readable.

Configuring the document palette

The document palette controls the finer color details of your PDF:

Setting What it controls
Text color Primary text on the document
Muted color Secondary text like labels and footnotes
Line color Table borders and dividers
Paper color Background color of the document

Adjust these to match your brand guidelines or leave them at their defaults for a clean, neutral look.

Custom document labels

You can rename the default labels that appear on your quote documents:

  1. Scroll to the Document Labels section.
  2. Customize labels for:
    • Document title (default: "Quote")
    • Reference number label (default: "Quote #")
    • Date label (default: "Date")
    • Validity label (default: "Valid Until")
  3. Click Save.

This is useful if your industry uses different terminology, such as "Estimate" or "Proposal" instead of "Quote."

Toggle the following on or off to control what appears in the document header and footer:

  • Company name in header — Shows your company name alongside the logo.
  • Registration number in footer — Displays your business registration or license number.

Previewing your changes

  1. After saving your branding settings, navigate to any existing quote at /quotes/[slug].
  2. The embedded PDF preview reflects your updated branding.
  3. Review the logo placement, colors, labels, and layout.
  4. If anything looks off, go back to /settings/branding and adjust.

Best practices

  • Upload a high-resolution logo for sharp rendering on both screen and print.
  • Use your actual brand colors rather than defaults to reinforce brand recognition.
  • Review the PDF preview on both desktop and mobile to ensure it looks good at different sizes.
  • Keep document labels clear and professional regardless of customization.
