Use team filters to view individual schedules, compare availability side-by-side, and save filter preferences.
This guide explains how to filter the JobsiteOn schedule by team member. You will learn how to use the team filter controls, view individual schedules in isolation, compare team availability side by side, and save your filter preferences so you do not have to reapply them every time you visit the schedule. Filtering is essential when your team grows beyond a few members and the calendar becomes dense with overlapping events.
/schedule from the main sidebar./team.Team filters control which team members' events are visible on the calendar. By default, the schedule shows events for all team members and unassigned events. When you apply a filter, the calendar hides events that do not match the selected members, giving you a cleaner view.
The team filter is in the schedule header, typically near the view switcher and date navigation controls. Look for a filter button or a team member selector that shows avatars or names.
The filter control may display as:
The exact appearance depends on the number of team members and the current view. The behavior is the same regardless of how the control is presented.
To view only one team member's schedule:
The calendar now shows only events assigned to that member. All other events are hidden. This gives you a clean, focused view of that person's day or week.
Tip: Single-member filtering is the fastest way to check someone's availability before assigning a new event. Switch to Day view with the member selected and scan for open time slots.
To compare schedules across a subset of your team:
The calendar now shows events for only the selected members. This is useful for:
In Day view with multiple members selected, each member gets a dedicated column. You can see their events stacked vertically by time, making it easy to compare who is free at what hour.
In Week view with multiple members selected, events from all selected members appear in the same daily columns, color-coded by team member. Use the member colors to distinguish whose events are whose.
The team filter typically includes an Unassigned option alongside the team member names. When selected:
When deselected:
Note: Keeping the Unassigned filter enabled is recommended during dispatch sessions so you can see work that still needs an owner.
To return to the full team view:
All team members and unassigned events are now visible again. This is the default state when you first open the schedule.
Tip: If you are unsure which filters are active, look at the filter control. Active filters are typically indicated by a highlight, badge count, or visual change on the filter button.
JobsiteOn remembers your filter selections within the current session. When you navigate away from the schedule and return, your last-used filters should still be applied.
Your filter selections persist as long as your browser session is active. Closing the tab or logging out resets filters to the default (all members visible).
If your workspace supports default filter configuration:
If a save option is not available, filters reset to showing all members at the start of each new session.
Filters apply across all calendar views. If you filter to one team member in Day view and switch to Week view, the same filter remains active. Switch views freely without losing your filter selection.
On the dispatch board, team filters control which team member columns are visible:
This is especially useful when:
If available, team member filters can be combined with other filter types:
Show only certain event types (for example, emergency events) for the selected team members. This helps prioritize urgent dispatch.
Show only events in a specific status (for example, scheduled but not yet started) for the selected members. This helps morning dispatch focus on work that has not begun.
Team filters work within whatever date range the calendar is showing. Navigate to the date you need and then apply team filters for the right combination.
Tip: Combine a single team member filter with the status filter set to "scheduled" to see exactly what work that person has lined up but has not started yet.
Here are practical scenarios where team filters make scheduling more efficient.
You may have deselected all team members including Unassigned. Open the filter and confirm at least one option is selected. If you selected a member who has no events on the current date, the calendar appears empty. Navigate to a date when that member has events.
The filter is in the schedule header area. If the header is compact on a smaller screen, look for a funnel or filter icon that expands the filter panel when clicked.
Filter persistence depends on session state. If your session expired or you cleared browser data, filters return to the default. Check if your workspace supports saving a default filter preference.
Confirm the filter was applied. Some views show events from all members in a shared grid, using colors to distinguish them. In this case, look at the event card colors and the legend to identify which events belong to the filtered member.
Close the filter panel and confirm the changes took effect. If the board does not update, refresh the page with the filter still applied.
No. Filters are local to your browser session. Other users see their own default or saved filters independently.
If your workspace uses teams or crews, the filter may include group-level options. Select a team name to filter all members within that team at once. Otherwise, select individual members.
When you export or print the schedule, the output typically reflects the current view including any active filters. This means you can print a filtered schedule showing only one member's appointments.
Filter preferences are per-user and per-session. There is no built-in sharing mechanism. You can communicate your preferred filter setup to colleagues who can replicate it on their own account.
