Watermarks and Photo Stamps

Apply your company logo to one photo or a group, and automatically brand photos in external Capture shares.

Before you start

Capture uses the logo saved in Settings → Branding. If your company does not have a saved image logo, the watermark dialog links you to Branding before it lets you render anything.

A watermark is always a separate JPEG sibling. Applying one never burns a logo into the original upload and never changes the original SHA-256 fingerprint.

Watermark one photo

  1. Open Work → Capture and choose a project.
  2. Select a ready photo.
  3. Select the stamp icon.
  4. Leave Current only selected.
  5. Choose the logo position, size, and opacity.
  6. Select Apply to 1 photo.

After it finishes, use Download current to open the full watermarked image.

Watermark several photos

Open the watermark dialog from any ready photo, then choose All shown photos or select individual thumbnails. Capture can process up to 200 ready photos in one request. One failed image does not undo the successful ones, and the dialog tells you how many need another try.

The options apply consistently to every selected photo:

If a photo has an active crop or rotation, the watermark is rendered from that active derivative. Saving a newer edit makes the prior watermark stale so Capture never serves a logo placed against old pixels.

Burn capture details into the photo

Settings → Branding → Photo stamp decides what the stamp says. Turn on any of Include date, Include time, Include capture coordinates, and Include project address, and Capture burns those lines into the branded copy under your logo, as one block anchored to the corner you chose.

Two rules protect the evidence value of the result:

Include logo controls the mark itself. With everything switched off, photos are shared and printed exactly as captured. Opacity applies to the logo; the text plate keeps a fixed dark backing so burned-in details stay readable over any photograph.

Watermark external shares automatically

Owners and admins can open Settings → Capture and turn on Watermark externally shared photos.

While that company rule is on:

If the saved logo is unavailable, a public link or report stays available and uses the clean photo instead of failing the whole delivery. Capture sends active owners and admins one in-app notification linking to Settings → Branding; it does not repeat the nudge on every render. Add or repair the company logo, then reopen the link or generate a new report to let Capture create the branded siblings.

What recipients can download

The share link's Allow downloads option still controls whether a download action appears. The watermark rule does not turn downloads on and does not expose hidden photo metadata.
