Approve JobsiteOn as a Microsoft 365 admin
Why Microsoft 365 asks an admin to approve JobsiteOn once, how to approve it, and what access it gives.
Why Microsoft 365 asks an admin to approve JobsiteOn once, how to approve it, and what access it gives.
Microsoft 365 companies usually let only an admin approve apps that read mail, calendars or contacts. This guide explains the one-time approval for JobsiteOn, for the IT admin and for the person who asked for it.
Since late 2025, Microsoft's default settings for Microsoft 365 companies no longer let employees approve apps that reach mail, calendars or contacts on their own. An admin approves once for the whole company. After that, each person still connects their own mailbox, and JobsiteOn only reaches the mailbox of the person who connected it.
Personal Outlook.com accounts do not need this step.
If a teammate sent you a link, open it and follow steps 3 to 5. You do not need a JobsiteOn account.
| Permission | Why JobsiteOn needs it |
|---|---|
| Sign in and read your profile | Show which account is connected and send from the right address |
| Keep access | Keep syncing after you close JobsiteOn, without signing in every hour |
| Read and write mail | Show your mail in the JobsiteOn inbox and apply read, archive, delete and flag changes back to Outlook |
| Send mail as you | Send replies, quotes, invoices and reminders from your own address |
| Read and write calendars | Put scheduled jobs on the JobsiteOn Jobs calendar and read changes made there |
| Read and write contacts | Keep customers in the JobsiteOn contact folder |
JobsiteOn uses delegated access only. It can reach a mailbox, calendar or contact list only after that person connects it, and never other people's data. It does not ask for shared or delegated mailboxes, mailbox settings, files or Teams.
In the Microsoft Entra admin center, go to Enterprise applications, open JobsiteOn, and choose Properties, then Delete. Every connection in your company stops working at once.
