What this guide covers

How email goes out from your own Gmail address once you connect Gmail and choose it as your sender.

Turn it on

  1. Connect Gmail in Settings, Email & Inbox.
  2. Under Send Client Emails From, choose Connected Gmail.

What goes out from Gmail

Each message lands in your Gmail Sent folder, with the PDF attached when the email includes one. The quote or invoice still records that it was sent.

Automatic messages, such as scheduled payment reminders, receipts and system notices, still come from your JobsiteOn address.

Customer replies

Customers reply to your real address. The reply arrives in Gmail and in the same JobsiteOn thread, next to the quote or invoice it answers. Replies you write in JobsiteOn stay in the same Gmail conversation too.

When Gmail can't send

Reconnect Gmail in Settings, Email & Inbox to go back to sending as yourself.

Limits

Google limits how much one mailbox can send: about 500 messages a day for a personal Gmail account and 2,000 a day for Google Workspace, and 25 MB per message. JobsiteOn reports the limit when Google refuses a message.
