Overriding the default price
You can change the price on any line item without affecting the pricebook entry:
- Click the price field on the line item.
- Enter the custom amount.
- The override applies to this quote only.
Adding items not in the pricebook
For one-off items:
- Type a custom name directly in the line-item name field.
- Fill in the description, price, and quantity manually.
- The item is added to the quote but not saved to the pricebook.
Tip: If you find yourself adding the same custom item repeatedly, add it to the pricebook. This saves time on future quotes and ensures consistent pricing.
