What this guide covers

This guide explains how to attach photos and notes to a property record. Photos help technicians identify the location and understand the work environment before arriving on site.

Uploading photos

  1. Open the property at /properties/[slug].
  2. Navigate to the Photos section on the detail page.
  3. Click Add Photo or drag and drop images into the upload area.
  4. Supported formats: JPEG, PNG, and HEIC. Maximum file size is 10 MB.
  5. Each photo uploads immediately and appears in the gallery.

Adding captions

After a photo uploads:

  1. Click the photo thumbnail to open the detail view.
  2. Enter a caption describing what the photo shows (e.g., "Front entrance with key lockbox on left pillar").
  3. Click Save.

Captions are visible to technicians on the mobile app alongside the photo.

Removing photos

  1. Click the photo thumbnail to open the detail view.
  2. Click Delete in the bottom-right corner.
  3. Confirm the deletion.

Deleted photos cannot be recovered.

Writing internal notes

Use the Notes field on the property overview for text-based context that does not require a photo. Notes support plain text and are visible to all workspace members with property access.

Tip: Upload a photo of the property entrance and any equipment that needs servicing. Technicians appreciate visual context, especially on first-time visits.

How photos are used

  • Job detail page -- property photos are visible on any job linked to this property.
  • Mobile app -- technicians can view all property photos before arriving.
  • Quotes and invoices -- photos are not included on customer-facing documents.

Note: Photos are stored on JobsiteOn servers and are not synced to QuickBooks or other integrations.
