Link Properties to Contacts
How to link property records to contacts for billing and notifications, manage multiple links, and understand how links affect jobs.
What this guide covers
This guide explains how to link properties to contacts in JobsiteOn. Linking tells the system who to bill and notify when jobs are created at a property. You will learn how to create, view, and remove links.
Why link contacts to properties
When a property has a linked contact:
- The job creation form auto-fills the billing contact.
- Invoices for work at the property are addressed to that contact.
- The contact's record shows the property under their Properties tab.
Linking a contact
- Open the property at
/properties/[slug]. - Scroll to the Contacts section.
- Click Link Contact.
- Search by name, email, or phone number.
- Select the contact from the results.
The link is saved immediately. No confirmation step is required.

Multiple contact links
You can link more than one contact to a single property. Common scenarios include:
- A billing contact (property owner) and an on-site manager.
- A tenant and a landlord for the same location.
The first linked contact is treated as the primary contact and auto- fills on new jobs.
Removing a contact link
- In the Contacts section, find the contact you want to unlink.
- Click the unlink icon next to their name.
- Confirm the removal.
Unlinking a contact does not delete the contact record or affect existing jobs.
Note: Linking a contact to a property does not change the contact's billing address. The property address and contact address are stored independently.
