Jobs by Status Report
How to view a breakdown of jobs by their current status to understand your operational pipeline at a glance.
What this guide covers
This guide explains the jobs by status report, which gives you a snapshot of how many jobs are in each stage of your workflow. You will learn how to read the status breakdown, filter by date, and identify bottlenecks in your job pipeline.
Step 1: Open the report
- Navigate to
/reporting. - Click the Jobs tab.
- Select By Status.

Step 2: Read the status breakdown
The report displays a donut chart and summary table with these standard job statuses:
- Scheduled -- jobs on the calendar but not yet started.
- In Progress -- jobs currently being worked.
- Completed -- jobs marked as finished.
- On Hold -- jobs paused for external reasons.
- Cancelled -- jobs that were removed from the pipeline.
Each status shows the count and percentage of total jobs.
Step 3: Filter by date range
Use the date range selector to see job statuses for a specific period. This is useful for comparing month-over-month workload patterns.
Animation: Changing the date range from This Month to Last Month and watching the donut chart segments resize to reflect the different period.
Step 4: Investigate bottlenecks
A high number of jobs stuck in On Hold or In Progress for extended periods may indicate process issues. Click a status segment to see the individual jobs and their assigned team members.
Tip: If many jobs are stuck in "Scheduled" without progressing, check whether your dispatching process is keeping up with new job creation.
Best practices
- Review weekly. A quick weekly check helps you stay on top of your operational pipeline.
- Set targets for each status. For example, no more than 10% of jobs should be On Hold at any given time.
- Use alongside the completion rate report for a complete picture of job flow efficiency.
