Scan helps your team connect physical tags to JobsiteOn records. Use it to open an asset, confirm custody, review history, or update where an item is being used.

Scan a tag

  1. Open Scan.
  2. Point the camera at the asset tag or QR code.
  3. Wait for the record to open.
  4. Review the item name, status, and recent activity.
  5. Take the next action, such as check-in, check-out, or viewing history.

If the camera cannot read the tag, clean the tag, improve lighting, or enter the code manually if your workflow supports it.

When a tag is missing or damaged

If a tag is missing, unreadable, or attached to the wrong item:

Use scan history

Scan history helps answer where an item was last seen and who interacted with it. Use it for custody questions before assuming an item is lost.
