What this guide covers

This guide explains how to help team members reset their passwords when they are locked out or need to update their credentials.

Self-service password reset

Team members can reset their own password:

  1. On the sign-in page, click Forgot Password.
  2. Enter the email address associated with the account.
  3. Check email for a reset link (valid for 1 hour).
  4. Click the link and set a new password.

Admin-triggered password reset

Admins and Owners can send a password reset on behalf of a member:

  1. Navigate to /team.
  2. Click the member's row to open their profile.
  3. Click the overflow menu (...) and select Send Password Reset.
  4. The member receives an email with a reset link.

Note: Admins cannot see or set a member's password directly. The reset flow always requires the member to choose their own new password.

Handling locked accounts

If a member enters the wrong password too many times:

  • The account is temporarily locked for 15 minutes.
  • After the lockout period, they can try again.
  • An admin can send a password reset immediately to bypass the wait.

Tip: Encourage team members to use a password manager. Strong, unique passwords reduce lockouts and improve security across the board.
