Reset Team Member Passwords
How to trigger a password reset for team members, what the reset flow looks like, and how to handle locked accounts.
What this guide covers
This guide explains how to help team members reset their passwords when they are locked out or need to update their credentials.
Self-service password reset
Team members can reset their own password:
- On the sign-in page, click Forgot Password.
- Enter the email address associated with the account.
- Check email for a reset link (valid for 1 hour).
- Click the link and set a new password.

Admin-triggered password reset
Admins and Owners can send a password reset on behalf of a member:
- Navigate to
/team. - Click the member's row to open their profile.
- Click the overflow menu (...) and select Send Password Reset.
- The member receives an email with a reset link.
Note: Admins cannot see or set a member's password directly. The reset flow always requires the member to choose their own new password.
Handling locked accounts
If a member enters the wrong password too many times:
- The account is temporarily locked for 15 minutes.
- After the lockout period, they can try again.
- An admin can send a password reset immediately to bypass the wait.
Tip: Encourage team members to use a password manager. Strong, unique passwords reduce lockouts and improve security across the board.
