Capture for iPhone is currently distributed through the company’s managed TestFlight rollout; it is not yet a public App Store claim. Ask your company admin for the approved build and device instructions.
The camera spools a photo to protected local storage before returning control, so the shutter never waits for a network. Modes include photo, video, before-and-after, document scan, Scan Text, dual video on supported hardware, and LiDAR on supported iPhones and iPads. Available camera time, GPS accuracy, device details, app version, and Vision text are attached with their provenance.
Choose a project directly, scan its QR code, or review geofence suggestions. An ambiguous suggestion always asks you to choose. Files captured without a decision go to Unassigned.
The background upload queue survives app restarts and resumes multipart transfers without duplicating completed parts. Project, asset, checklist, and task deltas are stored in an identity-separated local database.
My Work combines Capture tasks, assigned checklist steps, and Job tasks. Checklist photo requirements remain pending until the original upload succeeds; a permanent failure reopens the step.
For queue recovery, see Photos Waiting to Upload.
Choose LiDAR in the camera mode row. Move the device slowly until Depth ready appears, then use the shutter. Capture saves one ordinary photo and a bounded, calibrated depth sample on the same asset. The original photo remains the visual source of truth.
LiDAR appears only when the device reports ARKit scene-depth support. On an unsupported device, use ordinary Photo mode; Capture never blocks documentation because LiDAR is unavailable. Measurements are field context, not a certified survey. Verify critical dimensions with an appropriate measurement tool.
Open a project and choose AI Foreman to create an editable recap, Daily Log, checklist, or walkthrough draft from permitted project evidence. Voice-driven checklist completions and follow-up tasks always stop for review before they change the project. If a voice completion was misunderstood, use Undo mis-hear immediately.
The original voice note and transcript remain attached. If the AI provider is unavailable, the manual camera, checklist, report, and caption tools continue to work.
