What this guide covers

This guide explains how to remove jobs from your active workspace in JobsiteOn. You will learn the difference between archiving and deleting, when to use each option, and how to restore archived jobs if needed.

Archive vs. delete

Action What happens Reversible
Archive Removes the job from the active list but keeps all data intact Yes, you can restore it
Delete Permanently removes the job record and all associated data No

Note: Deleting a job is only available for jobs that have no linked invoices or customer communications. If the job has financial records attached, archiving is the recommended approach.

How to archive a job

  1. Open the job detail page at /jobs/[slug].
  2. Click the overflow menu (...) in the top right corner.
  3. Select Archive Job.
  4. Confirm the action in the dialog.
  5. The job is removed from the active jobs list.

How to restore an archived job

  1. Navigate to /jobs.
  2. Open the Status filter and select Archived.
  3. Find the job in the archived list.
  4. Click the job to open it.
  5. Click the overflow menu (...) and select Restore Job.
  6. The job returns to the active list with its original status.

How to delete a job

  1. Open the job detail page.
  2. Click the overflow menu (...).
  3. Select Delete Job.
  4. Read the warning about permanent data loss.
  5. Confirm the deletion.

Tip: If you are unsure whether you will need the job record in the future, archive it instead of deleting. You can always delete an archived job later.

Best practices

  • Archive completed jobs you no longer need to see daily. This keeps your active list focused.
  • Only delete jobs that were created by mistake and have no associated records.
  • Review archived jobs periodically and delete any that are no longer relevant.
  • Never delete jobs that have linked invoices, as this can create gaps in your financial records.
