Link Jobs to Properties
Connect jobs to service properties so your team knows exactly where the work is and your job history stays organized by location.
What this guide covers
This guide explains how to link jobs to properties in JobsiteOn. You will learn why property links matter, how to set them during job creation, how to update them on existing jobs, and how to view all jobs for a given property.
Why link jobs to properties
Linking a job to a property connects the work to a physical location. This enables:
- Location-based history — See every job performed at a specific address.
- Map scheduling — Use map views to plan routes and dispatch nearby jobs together.
- Accurate proposals — The property address appears on quotes and invoices generated from the job.
- Contact association — Properties linked to contacts create a clear chain from person to place to work.
Linking a property during job creation
- Navigate to
/jobs/new. - Fill in the job title and contact.
- In the Property dropdown, search for the service location by address.
- Select the property. Its address populates on the job.
- If the property does not exist yet, click Create Property to add it inline.
- Click Save to create the job with the property linked.

/jobs/[slug]. - Click Edit to enter edit mode.
- Update the Property field by searching for a different address or creating a new one.
- Click Save to apply the change.
The property change is logged in the job activity feed.
Tip: If a customer has multiple service locations, make sure you select the correct property for each job. This keeps your per-location history accurate.
Viewing all jobs at a property
- Navigate to
/properties/[slug]for the property you want to review. - Click the Jobs tab.
- You see a list of every job linked to that address, sorted by creation date.
- Click any job to open its detail page.

Best practices
- Always link a property when the job involves on-site work. This makes scheduling and dispatch more effective.
- Create property records before creating jobs so you can link them during job creation rather than editing later.
- Use the property job history to spot recurring issues at a location, such as repeated plumbing calls.
