Every property needs a map pin to show on maps and to put its jobs on the schedule and dispatch maps. This guide explains how the pin gets there and how to fix it when it is in the wrong spot.
When you type in Street on New Property (or in the new property card on New Job), JobsiteOn suggests matching addresses. Pick one and:
If you change the street, city, state or ZIP by hand after picking, that suggestion's pin is dropped and the new address is looked up instead.
You don't have to pick a suggestion. Type the street, city, state and ZIP and save. JobsiteOn looks up the location from the address just after you save, using OpenStreetMap. If the map service can't be reached, it tries again every few minutes, so the pin appears on its own once the service answers. If the address can't be found, the property has no pin until you place it yourself (see below).

When you edit a property and change the street, city, state or ZIP, the old pin is removed and the property is placed again from the new address. Changing only the suite or unit keeps the pin where it is.
Open jobs at the property follow the new address and pin. Completed and cancelled jobs keep the address the work was done at, and a job with its own separate site address keeps it.
A pin you place yourself is marked as verified. On Live Maps, verified property pins have a small green dot. Open jobs at the property move to the new pin too.
A job's site address and map point come from its property, suite included. If a job was created before its property had a pin, maps use the property's pin once it has one.
The Auto-geocode addresses switch in Property settings controls the automatic lookup. It is on by default. With it off, new and changed addresses are not placed automatically; place pins yourself as above.
Place it yourself from Address on the property page. Automatic lookup never moves a pin you placed, unless you change the address.
Check the address for typos, give it a few minutes, then place the pin yourself if it still doesn't appear.
