How address autocomplete works when creating properties, how to select suggestions, and how to handle addresses not found.
This guide explains how the address autocomplete feature works when you create or edit a property. You will learn how suggestions are generated, how to select the right address, and what to do when autocomplete does not return the result you need.
When you start typing in the Address Line 1 field on the property form, JobsiteOn searches two sources:
Results appear in a dropdown below the input field after you type at least three characters.

The map preview updates to show the selected location.
If an existing property matches the address you typed, it appears at the top of the dropdown with a Property exists label. Selecting it navigates you to the existing property instead of creating a duplicate.
Tip: Always check autocomplete suggestions before creating a new property. This prevents duplicate records that can cause confusion when scheduling jobs.
Some addresses may not appear in results:
In these cases, type the full address manually and fill each field individually. The property will be created without geocoded coordinates, so the map preview will not display.
Note: If you enter an address manually and the geocoding service later recognizes it, the map preview will update automatically the next time the property detail page is loaded.
