Tag and Categorize Properties
How to create tags, assign them to properties, filter the property list by tags, and use tags for organizing service locations.
What this guide covers
This guide explains how to use tags to categorize and organize your properties. Tags are flexible labels that let you group properties beyond the built-in property type field.
Creating tags
- Navigate to
/properties. - Open any property and click Edit Property.
- In the Tags field, type a new tag name and press Enter.
- The tag is created and assigned in one step.
Alternatively, manage all tags from /settings > Tags.

Assigning tags to properties
You can assign tags during property creation or by editing an existing property:
- Open the property edit form.
- Click the Tags field.
- Select from existing tags or type a new one.
- Click Save.
A property can have multiple tags.
Filtering by tags
On the /properties list page:
- Click the Tags filter dropdown.
- Select one or more tags.
- The list updates to show only properties with the selected tags.
Tag filters combine with search and property type filters.
Common tag examples
- VIP -- high-priority or high-value clients.
- Recurring -- properties with recurring service agreements.
- New Construction -- recently built locations.
- HOA -- homeowners association managed properties.
- Snow Removal -- seasonal service locations.
Tip: Keep your tag list short and consistent. Too many tags reduce their usefulness. Aim for 5-10 commonly used tags.
Removing tags
- Open the property edit form.
- Click the X on any tag to remove it.
- Click Save.
Removing a tag from a property does not delete the tag itself.
Note: Deleting a tag from
/settings> Tags removes it from all properties that had it assigned.
